中國過去一百年的藝術歌曲，隱藏著曲詞創作者和民謠采風者們，對中國人的記憶和願望的追尋，與及借西洋音樂的和聲技巧，把屬於中國人的旋律和情感，過度到充滿變遷和苦難的現代中國，是藝術家默默地為後辛亥革命的新中國譜寫的人文史詩。
Chinese art songs of the past century carry in them the memories of Chinese people and the aspirations for their quests, the dreams of the lyricists and the composers, the dreams of the people - the people's songs, folk songs. Here, you'd find the melody and sentiments of the Chinese people expressed through western music and vocal techniques. These songs are epic poems composed by artists for the New China of the 1911 Revolution.
